Trail run for the first time using H2O only. When making 12 cup pot, only 8 cups fill the pot and remainder 4 stays in the filter.
It's possible that the hose or valve running from the tank to the heater is partly clogged. See superkev2000 and W5VSI fixes posted here.

Run 2 cups distilled white vinegar and 2 cups water through the system - brew it like it was regular coffee. Then run plain water through the coffemaker to rinse the vinegar out and make sure the decalcification was successful. Repeat as needed. Don't forget to remove the charcoal water filters first.

you must have a filter and coffee in the basket for a full drain.the weight of the water is enough to open the basket when its full but as your trail run ended the final amount of water is not enough to open drain drop. with filter and coffee in it there is enough weight to keep drain drop open so all water can drain!

I have the same problem. The coffe maker shuts off after a few minutes and beeps as if it is the end of the cycle.
You have to Re-Start the brewing process. It has ben getting worse and sometimes have to turn the machine back on 8 to 10 times before the entire pot is brewed.
Does anyone have an answer for this problem.

I fill the reservoir to 12 cups but only 4 cups brews.
not making full cup of coffee
coffee maker only brews about 30 sec. enough for about 2 cups of coffee not the 1 gallon caraffe its designed to fill

The program auto off does not work
coffee is staying in the filter not coming out through the hole, coming out the sides.and does not stop when you take the pot off while brewing
I set the timer but for some reason coffee pot does not turn on anymore
