You can easily do that by installing android file transfer software on you mac device or by connecting your mac to your android through an usb cable

if you want to transfer files from Mac to Mac, you will need a firewire cable. You can not do it with a USB cable.
there are a couple of different types of firewire, and the appropriate ones you will need will depend on the macs you have.
