I work for kodak and this is actually a very easy fix.
The MAC OS 10.4.11 won't install off the cd only the website.
The cd sees that the OS is 10.4.1 not 10.4.11 just a glitch and the fix is installing from the website.
And no you need at least 10.4.8 to run the kodak printer on macs.
I couldn't get the 5100 to print at all in 10.4.11 and had to upgrade to Leopard to get it to work.
I have MAC G4 with 10.3.9 operating system. Is there a driver available to run the Kodak Easy Share All In One 5100 printer on my operating system??

Try downloading and installing the driver from the website.

I have the same issue. My Mac is running 10.4.11. The Kodak error message says I need 10.4.8 or higher. Won't install. Bad first experience with what looks to be a very nice printer.
