I just install a p4m900m2 mother board and cpu. I use my old disk drive with xp operating system. It would not boot up. It comes to the screen where it ask you to chose safe mode or other modes but everytime you choose one it comes back to the same thing.
U asked it premium solution... i have replied it.. please check it.. my solution will surely work for you...
Did you go into your bios and reset with factory settings. Also did you try to boot up with the windows xp installation disk. Try that and let me know what happens. Are you sure the hard drive is ok too. let me know if you get it going if not get back here. I'll be in and out all day so when I get your message back I will get to you asap.
Thanks hope that helps some. You get into your bios by pressing the delete Key or F2 key when your are starting up and your computers logo is on continue pressing until your bios screen comes on. Read your instructions and follow how to reset bios to factory settings... anymore ?s just ask

My son updated his computer with an MSI K9MM-V motherboard and AMD Athlon 64X2 4000+ processor. He also added DDR2 memory (PNY PC2-5300). When he tries to boot up, he is getting the same screen asking to select safe mode, etc. After making a selection, it comes right back to the same screen. He has tried contacting MSI, but hasn't gotten a return call yet. I did some research and it seems to be pointing to the BIOS. He has reset everything, but it didn't correct the problem. We're wondering if possibly the memory is not compatible, but don't have anything else on hand. Any help will be appreciated.
