I need a code for a sylvana tv for my philips PM4S remote control
The code for Sylvania is 0247 for a TV/DVD/VCR; for regular Sylvania TV's, there are several: 0807, 0002, 0502, 0115, 0520, 0919, 0324, 0402, 0408, 0109, 0715, 0717
The process for programming this remote with code is:
1. press and hold CODESEARCH until red indicator stays on
2. press and release desired mode button (TV,VCR, etc.) - the red light will blink and then stay lit
3. enter 4 digit code - after valid code entry, the red indicator turns off
4. with device on, press channel up - if it changes channel, you have succeeded
For a Sony, the codes are: 0414, 0902, 0801, 0708, 0639

Programming a Device using Code Search:
Manually turn ON your device (TV, VCR, Cable Box)
Press and "HOLD" CODE SEARCH
Press and release the device button you want to set up (TV, VCR, Cable Box) However, if you are using AUX for a device, press and release AUX first and then the device button for the type of device to be programmed (TV, VCR, or Cable). The selected device button will flash once.
Release CODE SEARCH.
Press OFF/ON repeatedly until the device turns off (you may have to press up to 100 times at a rate of once per second).
Once the device turns off, press and release ENTER.
With the device on, press any other button. If the device responds, no further programming is required. If the device does not respond, repeat steps 1-6.
