I have my picture going through the hdmi and the sound going through the scart. plug the scart into the back of the ps3. then the white and red wire are into my tecnics sound system and it works perfectly you just need to set it up in the sound options in your ps3. which is very easy. just select scart in the sound options. hope this helps you.
