I have the printer program laoded and working and then it tries to add the program again and i end up with the program copyed for a copy 1 printer

1. Check that the reservoir under the cartridges is not full.(This is a V shaped bucket sitting under where the print head parks.)
   
2. Clean the plastic the two cartridges sit in with alcohol and a cotton swab. Especially where the copper makes contact.
3. Clean the ink from the copper portion of the cartridges themselves or replace the cartriges with new ones...

Uninstall all those printers first. restart the computer and reinstall the drivers again.

Try connecting the printer to a direct wall outlet and not to a surge protector

try a partial reset

for this
you need to unplug the power cable from the printer
press and hold the # and the 3 buttons on the front panel and then replug the cable,
do not release the fingers until you see the LCD lit up.

let the printer initialize itself and then try making a black and white copy
if it makes a copy ,it should definitely scan now.
