Gestetner dsc224 is printing long pages of code after installing new laptop

Hello thomasg.I will answer you question gladly and precisely but I do this at my own peril. I get rated on my quality by how well I "fix" my customer's problem (your problem).The details I am about to provide to you probably wont make alot of sense to anyone that is not a field engineer that is formally trained on your copier.So I risk getting a poor rating from you since I will not have "fixed" your problem and you might choose to grade me as being not very helpful.But at least I might save you some money since you will know what's wrong BEFORE you place a service call. (which you will need considering what the error code means) So at least you have a chance of avoid being overcharged. Your copier has what is called a transfer belt that turns when making copies. The copier keeps track of the turning of this belt as it is crucial to copy process. SC 481 means that the copier cannot determine the transfer belt position. Causes: belt is damaged or main motor has stopped which drives the belt.99.9% of the time it is the flimsy belt.I have never seen this problem as the result of the main motor.
