I bought recently a lenovo laptop (G450) loaded with windows 7. I have wireless internet in my home that I use with my other windows xp laptop and it works fine.
I never ever been able to connect to the internet. I tried both wireless and wired cable. The connection appears to work for few seconds and then drop.
I disabled firewall, updated my dlink WBR-1130 to latest firmware, restarted my machine many time and I never ever managed to get internet connection from windows 7.
Dlink claims that they are compatible with windows 7 and I am so frustrated because of this issue.
I really doubt that this is a route issue, I think it is windows 7 issue. Any thoughts please?
Any body can help me in that?

I am not going to mark this as a solution because i prob wont give you engough info to do it,, but i know when i installed windows 7 i had the same prob it found the drivers for my wifi card but there is a setting in the network settings that will turn wireless on and below that it says something like "verify that connection is a secure connection" or somehting like that and i unchecked the box and never had any more problems.. Sorry wish i could help more. But you say you are also having problems when you are plugged in try opening the command prompt when plugged in and type ipconfig and see if it is giving you an ip address or not
