Not really, yes sometimes, well rarely so rare that I don't even bother to try any more.., the real fix is to have a new pre-ink charged head, with gen. inks hooked up to it.

I reckon the chances of unblocking most print heads is 1 in 50

I have found strange as it sounds, soaking in Windex and running under hot water prove themselves to me over time as better ways than most to try to do a impossible job (Holes are micro-microscopic and in most cases they got blocked but now have stuffed little heaters that fire the ink out in certain areas of print head surface

Most Canon heads can be purchased new pre primed, this is another cost that is involved when cleaning heads is the vast amount of ink one wastes doing cleans and the rapid rise of waste pad full count due to many cleans.

It is also pretty pointless trying to clean a head and then trying to re use the same inks that probably caused the issue in the first place.

Ps.: If I, as I often do, get ink on my hands I find that windex does quite a good job at cleaning them too.
