E2 error Hi - I have a HS-851 VHS, and have submitted on this model as though it was the closest.
I have an E2 error code flashing and was wondering what this is and if it is significant/fatal prob.
I see another post with a flashing 2 light, which seemed to be tape ejection related.
My partner had trouble removing a tape and finally got it out via repeated use of the eject button. Some force was required by her to retrieve the tape once it became partly available.
It is a relatively old Nicam VHS but has been really great (I love the ability to skip adverts). Will probably buy a HDD recorder, but want to be able to play existing videos - so any help is appreciated.
Mitsubishi HS U445 I have a flashing E2 error...have unplugged and done everything imaginable..but the manual doesn't even mention L1 L2 OR E2 errors...I love my recorder..and hate to get rid of it due to this problem..In the past a repairman just told me over the phone the solution..but I don't remember what it was..and he is no longer working at that shop..If you have any suggestions..I would so appreciate it. thank you......lcreech@charter.net

E2 flashes when power is on, tapes that have been stopped in the middle will not play or rewind. tried a head cleaner, didn't work.E2 flashes when power is on, tapes that have been stopped in the middle will not play or rewind. tried a head cleaner, didn't work.

Just had the same E2 come up on my HSU-445. The only thing we could figure out was to try a different tape than the one that was in there when the error came up. That seemed to do the trick. Not sure how long that will work. Good luck.
