PROBLEM! Hello, When we turn on the dishwasher and set it to any setting it beeps once, appears to work, then beeps again, and the first light flashes. Then the inside noises stop and the light continues to flash until it is turned off. We have cleaned the filter, and added salt, but this has not affected it at all. Please help! Thank you.

Hi try checking if the drain outlet pipe is blocked by this I mean blow down the pipe it takes a bit of puff but if you cant then there's is something blocking the water from getting out, either a blockage or the water pump not working enabling the washer to start the new cycle
I hope that helps cheers eric

Having read another users fault (LUNNY) that has same fault. They got engr out and it was a blocked pump. Where is the pupmp located on this model as I have the same fault and want to resolve it asap.

SOURCE: Salt Indicator Light Flashes Permanently On Indesit IDE 750 dishwasher

I've had the same problem on my Indesit (IDL-730, IDL730) and after pouring in salt until full for ages, without the light going out, I finally decided to do the reverse.
I left it to run down the salt over a couple of months, until well empty (not ideal, but I was getting desperate!), and then finally refilled it.
Problem solved - salt error light was no longer on
All I can figure is that a blockage had set in and casued the issue. Leaving it to clear over time sorted it.
Hope this helps in your situation.

SOURCE: DI 67 S fault

Try to tilt your dishwasher forwards. Be aware that water will leak out of the front. Once this is clear it should work. I paid an engineer to come and tell me this. If your machine is not completely level it causes it to over fill and after a time will not work. Good Luck

SOURCE: Lights flashing on dishwasher and not working!

put some towels dowm and tip the d/w over to one side about 45 degrees if water pours out of the base it means that the d/w is in "flood mode" and you have a leak into the base that will need resolving.

SOURCE: Indesit IDL40 lights & 4 flashing

First thing I did was to find the information I needed from where it didnt cost me. Then I decided, luckily for you that I wouldnt charge you for how it was fixed. By removing the four screws on the top part of the door and tilting the control panel down to remove it, you will see a black wire that is connected to a thermostat that should be clipped onto the inner metal panel (down and to the right) replace it in its clip and secure it with a zip tie. If this doesnt cure the problem then you will need to check the heater element because its probably blown it due to overheating, last but not least, if the element is in good condition then its got to be the PCB (part number for the Indesit IDL40UK is C00142139 approx £50) that is on the panel you removed to replace the thermostat. It is possible to repair the PCB and the fault is probably the 12v 10a relay and if your confident enough can be obtained from Maplins who do 2 possible replcements with thi same footprint (numbers JM67X and YX97F approx £2). I gleened this information from a number of sources and I thank them for it all, This as far as I can tell is all it can be and its nothing to do with no salt or rinse aid, and my machine is back up and running. I hope this helps others that have lights 2 & 4 flashing and want an answer.
