1.if you can connect to the internet try going to www.update.microsoft.com and use a custom windows update for hardware.
2. go to the computer manufacturers website and attempt to download from there by pluging in model number. if it is a dell you'll want to use your service tag.
3.if this does not work go to my my computer:manage:device manager: (click on the device in question) go to properties:then details. under this tab you will have a code for vendor and device. shown as ven " " and dev " " go to pcidatabase.com and plug in this information. it should give you the name of the manufacturer and the name of the device. you can then go directly to that manufacturers website and download the drivers.
4. if you do not have an internet connection try steps 2 or 3 and save drivers to a flash drive from a system that does have a connection.
5. if drivers do not fix the problem then you may have damaged hardware.
