Sound device problem

Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device.     my computer sound just lost . it is toshiba satellite model a65-s126.

    i need help to download & install diffrent sound.

    i have tried all other method with no good result.

Well, first things first...
1) you may need to install the sound driver if in Device manager is a (?) yellow mark on sound. reinstall the driver from your disks, or download from the manufacturer .
2) Check your BIOS for Enable the sound card.
3) this it it!

Hi abdi,
the problem is that your sound driver is not installed. You might have got a driver cd when you purchased your PC. Installed the required sound driver and you are done. if you dont know what driver you need you can try sound max or realtek ac97 or conexant audio driver...
