I am using a MFC-240C printer. i am able to print and copy. when in the scan mode however, the lcd just says'connected to pc' and nothing else happens. The computer keeps saying it does not recognise the scanner. What can i do?
Try to disable the Windows Firewall and see if it works.

The issue seems belong to software. You can remove or repair MFL-Pro software (including in CD-ROM).

I am using MFC-240C, the installation CD on Win XP cannot work on my PC, so i downloaded from this site, but when i finished install, the installation diagnostics said my scanner fail, but my printer and fax is ok. So how can i get help? - from amat
