I recently done a complete wipe of my hard drive.i then loaded a new copy of the full version of win. xp.for some reason windows put my plug and play hp mx70 monitor into default.i can't set my screen resolution or color bits.so everything is very large on my screen.do you have any idea how to get my pc to recognize the plug and play monitor and get it out of default????
thankyou for the advice.i put my chipset driver in and found out that the chipset had not been downloaded on the first try.you saved me about $40.00 at least to get the problem fixed at the tech shop.once again thankyou.

Nope..you'll need the disk that came with monitor or PC at the beginning. Maybe on disk with utilities and drivers. Also, if you have video ram, that's a factor too.
