My activate code doesent work - Computers & Internet

Windows 98 is a very old product. If your HP laptop is a few years old, then I would suggest you install a later version of Windows.
But if you need Windows 98 then, you need to activate the Windows license by phone.activation and speak to the operator.
Have the activation code ready as the operator will ask you for the code.
Tell them that the activation code does not work via the Internet and that you are reinstalling Windows on a new hard drive because the old one failed.

If the code does not I would contact the person or business that sold you the software and have them replace it or get you the correct codes.
