Hey, my dad's Acer Aspire 5500 has a problem with its screen. when its shut down and u try to turn it on, it turns on, but nothing appears on the screen. the only way for it to appear is if u keep turning and shutting the laptop on and off and hopefully it will just random appear. is there a solution to this, because it wasn't doing this till recently. help please. thanks

You can't post conmments that contain an email address.
Try connecting to external monitor and see if you have a same problem. You have to hold fn key at same time with f4 (or depends what is yours. Check for a key that has the screen picture) If you do not get anything that means you are having problems with video card.
Have you updated recently the driver for the video card?
