Power problem I have an Acer laptop travel mate2480 it cannot get be charged the pin into the power port is broken. what can I do ? should I change the all board ? or can I just solder it ?

It's not that hard to fix it yourself if your mechanically inclined. The part is under $10. It took me three hours to fix my first one, about an hour for the second one. I did add a cable retention device
to both systems when I finished. No more problems on either system. I got mine here.

The pin can either be soldered back if you have the equipment and its not damaged or you can buy a replacement pin to solder in. It's not that easy so if your not competent then it might be worth the cost to have it repaired professionally - costs about £100 so depends on the value of the laptop
