installed a webcam with a microphone onto a pc -using dtanard windows xp package, but can't get the mic to work, hear the other end ok.

Hi njmoloneyx,

First see your webcam mic pin is connected with computer microphone jack and after this please check the audio volume control settings and uncheck on microphone mute click
