First go to start tab -> Printer & faxes -> add printer -> select local printer attached to this computer -> use the following port lpt or usb then select hp from manufacturer and in printer que select hp deskjet for deskjet printer and select hp laserjet for laser printer then next and it will install ur printer in ur pc's window now u can give the print from there.
It will definately solve ur problem.

What OS are you running? If it is Windows Home or XP it will usually pick up the printer and automatically find appropriate driver for it. All you do is plug it in. Or else you have to install it manually from the control panel> install printer> and pick the right type of printer and follow process without disc.
