Error CF I have been recieving the Error CF message on my camera for days now, and after uninstalling the battery and CF card several times, I finally figured that it was the CF card! I bought a new one this evening and I am still getting the same message.

I keep getting the cf err. I have tried reformating with my camera but no luck I bought a new cf card and am getting the same report I bought a new battery and still same report. Canon says I can send them my camera and they will fix it. Do you know what they charge for this problem?? I am 3 weeks out of warranty.

I get the same Error CF problem. I also bought a new card and made sure my battery was fully charged but I still get the same message.

I removed my CF card from one camera and placed in another (both Canon Digital Rebel XT/EOS). When I tried to put the CF card back in the 1st camera, it did not go in easily and I now get error CF when I turn on the camera. I formatted the card and then got an error 99 message. Help please!

You may have a damaged pin or two inside the camera where the CF card fits. Have you looked inside the slot at the connection pins?

If the pin is damaged how much does this cost to repair? is it a major problem?

I had the same problem before. If you havent ruined a pin in the bottom of the slot and pray that you didn't it might help to reformat the cf card with your computer..Do you have another cf card or someone you know that you could try in your camera also this will probably tell you if thats the problem..Unfortunately thats one of the problems with the canon cf card is it can be put it the wrong way and cause damage if you push it too hard. My problem was not the pin but I did formate my card completly with NTFS and have had no further trouble..You should know though It is possible to have a card go bad too..SAMS CLUB SELLS THEM FOR 16.00$ for a 1 gig.Karaokekate
