I had to replace the window sensor on a bathroom that I guess because of humidity, went bad. I got the new one on ebay, but I need to know how to program it in place of the old one.
You must have the installers code or the Ultility code to do this. If it was not changed by whom ever installed it, the code will be 4321. To find out open the face cover by pressing down on the center tab on top of the master unit and the face folds forward. It will enter code, try the 4321 if nothing happens/ no speach that is the wrong code and you must close face cover until you get the right code
If it lets you into programming mode then you press delete then system will ask for sensor number, 01 to 24 ? So if bathroom window was sensor 7 you enter 07 then press done. It will sensor deleted.
Then to add new sensor, press add, will prompt you the trip sensor, most units you remove the cover tripping the tamper switch , the system will beep and say sensor programmed, then proceed to group type enter 13 for instant alarm then press done button and close face. You are now done !
Testimonial: "Great advice!"
Noahsboas;
To perform the functions you are experimenting with you will need the 'installer's manuel', which for security reasons, can only be obtained by a professional installer.
I can get a copy to you or at the very least give you the sequence to reset the unit including all codes to their factory default allowing you to set the unit up exactly the way you want.
Emil me if you wish to proceed. k.r.busby@gmail.com
Turns out this manual is now available online so I can post the link here. This is the 'installer's' manual which will allow you to do a complete system reset including changing all passwords (not just access codes).
The system is quite easy to install. I moved recently and yesterday I installed the entire system, including all programming in under three hours.
A tip. If it is necessary to mount a sensor to the pane/glass part of a window the professional installers use silicone caulking. Holds great and cleans up nice when you move.
Another tip, to kill the systems and reset it from the ground up cut the power to the system, this will put it in battery mode, open the cover, then pressing the tab at the top will release the circuitry, just let it swing down. Now the part mounted to the wall has a hidden battery. Follow the leads and remove the black one from the circuit-board. System is now dead. Now press and hold 'cancel', 'clock Set', 'Minutes +' and reconnect the battery lead. You will here "Hello, system XX ok"
Now you can do whatever you want. Here's the manual.
