Hi,

1. Is it a stand alone or have you get it hooked up to a PC?
2. If with a PC, Win Xp or Vista, Mac?
3. Is the unit new, refurbished, bought from ebay or from a dealer.

If the unit is more than 2 years old then the only solution is to get it repaired or buy a new one instead. There are instances where internal software gets corrupted or even in some models, memory battery has leaked or depleted.

Unfortunately there is no external reset for the unit. It has to be opened up and diagnosed with the use of a special diagnostic PC and software. The firmware may also need to be re-installed or updated.

Am afraid your only best bet would be to open the unit and check the inside. Easy enough would be memory battery (if ever present) since they look like a thick coin (Lithium 3Volts) but other than that, most repairs would need knowledge and familiarity with electronic component and circuitry, a service manual, a DVM, a soldering iron and even as earlier stated some specialized equipment.

Perhaps your best bet would be to seek the services of a qualified professional or the nearest authorized Service Center.

Goodluck,
Please don't forget to rate the solution as fixya..
