I have an A410 that probably has the same auto flash mechanism. If you are handy, perhaps you can switch them out. Or you could look for another "broken" A460 on ebay and get the part from that one...or maybe even find a cheap one that works. On the other hand, this is an older model and it may be time to relegate it to daytime/outdoor photography and get a newer model for the times when a flash is needed for your pictures.
