I have a problem with my notebook computer. First when I booted it up it ran a ckdisk. After it was done it shut down and when I rebooted it it comes up with Windows error recovery that says windows failed to start and it might be due to a software or hardware change and it recommends Launch Startup repair but it won't go to the startup repair. When the countdown goes to zero seconds it just starts the coundown again. I can't get it to boot from a disk. I'm not sure if it is set to boot from a disk and if it isn't I don't know how to set it so it will. I am able to go to bios, I just don't know how to set it.

Well there are a few things you can do here.

1. when you first start it up hit R many times to bring you to the recovery tool and run a HD error scan to see if it will give you an error code to work from.
2. when booting up hit F2 many times to bring up the setup tool when there you should see your HD and witch one it boots from first you want yours to be the primary to boot from set it to that.
3. when ya boot up hit F11 to bring you to the bios and look for your HD and click on and set to primary as well and save and exit and reboot normally.
4. once you get it up and running then go to download.com and get (A squared) virus removal tool, and get (Ccleaner) PC cleaner and optimizer use both and are very safe programs both free

if these methods don't work then call me and will go through together ask for Travis A. at 952-451-0518
the fixist good luck and have a nice day
