Cannot download Java

Running Windows XP with SP3; using Sprint air card for Internet connection. Cannot load Java from their website...each time I go to the "download" page, I get a blank page...refresh will not help, as I continue with the blank page and notice at bottom of screen states, "Done"

I have also encountered the same scenario of a blank white screen when trying to get to other web pages.

SOURCE: staying connected to internet, using sprint 595 air card

If I were you, I would let your windows manage your wireless network on the computer with vista. Also you might, If you haven't already tried using your install new programs in the control panel, As long as you have the sprint software downloaded in your laptop windows should still recognize the wireless connection, Try letting windows manage it from the Network properties and there should be an option there that lets windows manage you network. try it see if that helps you out. If not write back here and let me know we can try another route. Sorry you having problems.

SOURCE: Toshiba Satelite A150-S4184,Hasent been used much,It was verry fast, now have internet again and loads very slow and takes long time to load pages,I think auto downloads instales windows 7,What can I

How much memory do you have in your Toshiba Satelite laptop?
Windows XP with Service Pack 3 needs a minimum of 1GB but ideally would run better with 2GB.

Windows 7 would need the same but there is no auto-update process to go from XP to 7 as this is not allowed - you would have to do a Custom install of Windows 7 which requires a clean install (i.e. format the hard drive and start from scratch).

If you are running XP with less than 1GB memory, then you need to check what the maximum memory that the laptop can be upgraded to?

The easiest method is to use the Crucial Memory web site System Scanner utility which will detect how much memory is installed and advise how much you can upgrade to according to the options available for the specific make & model of laptop.

If the laptop hasn't been turned on or on-line for a long time then you may be using a lot of resources downloading Microsoft critical updates plus updates for other installed programs like iTunes, QuickTime, Java etc.

Try downloading and installing a copy of the free Advanced System Care 5 utility then running the Deep Care tools which include System Optimisation and clean-up utilities to improve system performance.
