How do I fully bleed my 430 tractor hydraulic system? I am missing something. I changed fluid - all looks good - but now I can't get it to work correctly. I've bled everything I can think of. Does anyone have good instructions on this?

What model tractor are you working on?What is not working now that you have changed the fluids? The hydraulics will bleed themselves as the functions are cycled,if they won,t then you may need a new coupler in the rear or the tractor,a pressure guage will confirm this.

Locate the bleed cap along the hydraulic lines. And open it slightly
Then open the fluid reservoir and Pump the fluid through, Close bleed nipple and then apply lid to reservoir and then bleed is complete.

Where is the bleed cap located? Is it at the end of a line or in the line? Thank you -

  • Anonymous Jul 18, 2010

It will be at the end of the line and you will notice it as it may have a rubber cap on the bleed nipple to prevent dirt from getting in there.
