Is there an input select?

I can view channels but cannot view a DVD from the TV/DVD Disney Princess Combo. Only see static on the screen with no sound. I wonder if I need to change the input select to view a movie but cannot find a button on the TV or remote control. I have a 6 button remote which I am sure operates the DVD and another remote with 39 buttons I thought would operate the player as well as the TV. However, so far only the player functions from it. The buttons only have small pictures without words which sometimes leaves some question about purpose. This is a second hand unit. I do not have a manual. It did play movies at first. I think the trouble may have started when I programed cable channels. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have the exact same problem. I have connected the tv to our cable and it is working. I hooked up another dvd player through the same hook up as the cable and it worked. I too think it is is an input problem but cannot seem to resovle it. I too cannot distinquish the buttons on the remote control.
