how do I get the drain plug out of a bathtub?  It is one of the kind that you turn and it drops into place to stop water flow.  The bathtub is not draining.

Likely the drain is clogged with hair.  Most of these type of plugs will have a screw in the middle underneath the top plate that you will have to undo.  Let me know if you need anything else.
