Use this guide, this is fo the embedded sata raid controller that comes standar with the ml150 g5.

Enabling SATA RAID functionality in the BIOS Setup Utility: 1.Boot the server, and then press F10 to enter the ROM-Based Setup Utility (RBSU).
2.Go to the advanced tab.
3.Enter the IDE configuration or hard disk configuration.
4.Change the ATA/IDE configuration to enhanced or SATA controller 2 enhanced (if not available then use enabled mode).
5.Configure SATA as RAID or configure controller 1 as RAID.
6.F10 to save and exit.
7.Reboot the server.
8.During post f8 will now show up for the embedded SATA set up.
•Creating the RAID volume.
1.Enter the embedded SATA setup by pressing f8 during post.
2.Enter the array configuration utility.
3.Enter create array.
4.Create the raid volume as desired.
5.Save and exit.

RAID implementations will vary from controller to controller, and even from bios to bios revision or version for the same controllers.
You should "image" the raid on the old board, then delete the raid on the old system.
In the new system, you need to treat these drives like they are new, blank hard disks. Any partitions will need to be removed, and the RAID created on the new board. Once this is done, you can use your partition imaging software to drop the data back onto the new RAID partition. Seagate I believe has imaging software available in Seatools, or you can use something like Acronis True Image or GHOST.

RAID menu will either be CTRL-A (if you are using the onboard PERC 3/Di) or CTRL-M (if you are using an addin PERC 3/4). If you are not seeing either of these options, then you may not have it enabled in the BIOS. In the BIOS (F2), go to Integrated Devices and make sure that RAID is Enabled. In order to enable RAID, your server MUST have a RAID key, RAID memory DIMM (different from system memory), and a RAID battery.

Dell poweredge 2600 server recently display a message " No boot device available Press F1 to reboot or F2 to setup" Please why?
Did you experience a power event? Go to BIOS (F2), and make sure that RAID is Enabled. If RAID got turned off (power event, BIOS reset), then it will give you that message. If RAID is already enabled, then you may need to repair your operating system. If something else happened (drive failures, drives removed, etc.), then the array may be completely gone. Call Data Recovery services if it is critical you retreive the data.

Trying to create a server using the ASRock k7vt6 mobo
turns out the RAID enable in the bios is also used to enable the SATA. but this doesn't mean you have to use RAID to use SATA drives! there's a separate bios to configure the RAID that you can access after the initial boot screen by pressing tab. here, you can delete an existing array or create a new one. deleting the array makes the motherboard see both drives separately, like I wanted. problem solved :)

Asrock P4V8+ freezes after ram checking
Unless you are using 2 identical hdd's RAID should be disabled. This may be where the problem is as it's looking for a RAID setup where none exists. Enable SATA but keep the RAID set to either IDE or disabled. Then try rebooting. Hope this helps.

Problem with creating array
The Perc RAID controller in a 2600 doesn't support RAID 4.
You can do RAID 0, RAID 1 and RAID 5.

With 3 HDD's your best bet would be a RAID 5.

Mirroring is RAID 1 (which would only use 2 of the drives)

Help please to restore the failed raid
Well if your data is gone at this point, you mines well just proceed with rebuilding a new RAID 5 set with your replacement drive. Even if one drive fails in a RAID 5 set, your logical drive should still be accessible. Goodluck.
