Ok, try this, disconnect your ps3 entirely, including power, then plug in the HDMI FIRST, then the power cable, the device will enter standby mode, turn the device on and see if that works. if it doesnt repeat what i just said but instead of turning it on hold the power button for 8-10 seconds. this resets the device to origional setting and when it turns on it should detect that the HDMI is the only connected media, thus selecting it as the primary output.
