How do you set the date on a Victor 1560-6 Calculator. I held down the date button on the unit and the number is flashing. I entered 08232010 for Aug 23rd, 2010 and I am not sure of the sequence to lock in that date... Please advise

Immediately after entering the year part of the date, the display should revert back to a blinking first digit (in this case, the 0 to the left of the 8) while retianing all the following digits just entered. Simply press the Time/Date key again to lock in that date and stop the blinking. The same process applies for the time.
To clear the display of the time/date when using the calculator to actually compute something, press the C or CE button. This will result in a 0 appearing on the display. The unit is now ready for data entry.
