My wii is simialar. When I fifa 08 (pal) on my chipped japanese wii (which I've used the ***. versioj freeloader on), it randomly shuts down - can't read disk or something. Some one help please. I had this problem with my first wii. It progressivly got worse until it stopped working completly. Give nintendo a call 1-800-255-3700 (if its not chipped since that voids the warranty). They replaced my console under warranty.
