Sometimes if you unplug it and hold the power button on and then off and then plug it back in sometimes will reset them. if not check to see if the buttons are stuck on. I had a copuble of the dell montors and they seemed to be no good so I use an acer montors and they seem to be better

Hold the menu button until the padlock unlocks, it takes anywhere from 30 seconds or even a minute or so

It is possible that menu button on the monitor is stuck. I suggest to call your computer manufacturer where you purchased the monitor, check for the warranty and request for a replacement.
