Why do some of the cd's I burn at real time not play, some show "disc error" or are not recognized. Today's problem, first 2 songs would play, 3rd song had crackling and then stopped. After removing the disc and then putting it back in the player, it showed "disc error" and would not play at all. These problems started about a year ago with your 700MB disc, has something changed in the manufacturing?

Parrottrack,
The problem can only be either a software or a hardware issue. First try the software as its most likely the problem. Download a good known virus free burning software; Express Burn has a good trial copy. If you make a CD with the new software and it works, it was the software, if it you have the same results then its a hardware issue. First try cleaning the players lens, if that does not work the player has failed.
