The E-01 error indicates a bad control cable between the box and panel. If replacing the cable does not fix the problem (I did this and it continued to give E01 error) I am told that it is caused by a leaky/open capacitor on one of the circuit boards. A 10 cent part at best. Not sure which board it might be on. If we could narrow this down, you could replace ALL the caps on that board for 10 bucks if you had too!!
