The comment from Kasmodan2 is true it can the toner cartridge, but is most cases it is the fuser. I repair HP laserjet machines day in and day out to replace the fuser is easy.

Probally your print cartridge, Replace it.
It has a rubber blade that whipes off old image that gets worn, sometimes not near as often it from fuser section..

Sounds like the transfer roller or the fuser unit may be faulty. Look at the fuser to see if the roller surfaces are dirty. If so, replace the fuser.
