All of a sudden at least 50% of the Blu ray's I try to play,the display say cannot read disc.All regular discs play fine.

Have you tried upgrading the firmware to the latest? I had a similar problem and this fixed it. If you don't have your player connected to the internet you can download the firmware and burn it to a CD then insert the CD into your player. If the Blu-ray player is working properly and has no further wrong codecs or configurations, then it may be possible that your Blu-ray discs are not able to be read by the Blu-ray player.
