Are you trying to upgrade 95 to 98SE or just new install of 98.
What you may have to do is
- insert win 98 boot floppy
- boot with cdrom support
- at the prompt change to cd drive E:\ (press enter)
- at the E:\ prompt type cd Win98 (press enter)
- at the E:\Win98 prompt type format C:\ (press enter)
- confirm all data will be erased
- reboot with floppy in and at the a:\ prompt run FDISK to see if the full size of the hard drive is available. (option 4)
- If everything is normal exit fdisk reboot with floppy, choose with cdrom support, type in the cdrom drive letter (usually e) and cd Win98(change directory Win98)
- at the win98 prompt type setup (press enter) and follow the prompts.
I get to E:\, but when i try to type cd Win98, it says Invalid Directory, and I do have a Real Genuine windows 98se disk, and i wish to make a clean install, but it says there isn't enough room and won't even start the installer. the harddrive is 1gb, isn't that enough?
