i have changed the screen

i have changed the screen on my macbook air via apple maint.  i do not know if this is related but  i have only just notice that my keyboard back light comes on when the light in the room is turned on but dims back out when  the light is turned off??????   how do i reverse this

Your MacBook air has an ambient light sensor that is right next to the iSight camera. You can turn the brightness up or down from the keyboard (F5 and F6). You can also turn this off completely from system preferences. Go to the Apple menu > system preferences > keyboard
