PS3 my ps3 turns on and everthing, but when i put a dvd or a game in the playstation does not recognize it at all... please help, thank you!

I suggest cleaning the laser with a laser cleaner cd bought at walmart..
if it does not work then your laser diode is bad..
new laser is 50$ ebay which means you need to take it all apart and install..
If not a working drive is 130 on ebay
you pull the old drive out and stick the new one in takes 5 min.

or call sony and pay 150$ plus to fix it and it takes a month +.
Or sell it on ebay and buy a 40 gb for about 300 for the console alone..
if its a 60gb ps3 you have you could get about 225 plus for it broken!
