Screen shift desk top is shifted to the right almost to the center of the screen, will not adjust far enough left to view entire desk top. Also the colors are not correct. hooked pc up to old crt and display was fine, set my laptop to dual display and display was shifted and colors were not correct. any help

    Tried changing the refresh rate, no difference.

    I have the same problem. If I run it at 800X600, it's fine. Anything higher than that shifts the screen to the right about 1/3 of the way.

Try setting the refresh rate to 60 Hz. (Maybe 75).
Is it xp?
Right click an empty part of the screen, properties, under monitor (I think; I'm on Vista) you can choose the refresh rate.
Most LCD's should be at 60 Hz.
