Press cursor-right repeatedly to cycle through the different flash modes. To turn the flash off, select the lightning bolt in a circle with a diagonal slash through it.

Flash bulb

These cameras are not made to be user serviceable. Replacing the flash, while probably possible, would require dismantling the entire camera.

From the Record menu, select the Drive Mode. Use cursor-up/down to select one of the modes and press OK. Start the self-timer by pressing the shutter release button.
