Hi there,

You can use an application called JL_Cmder which will completely wipe your Blackberry and then allow you to install the operating system again from scratch.

The JL_Cmder download is at the bottom of this page.

  1. To install JL_Cmder just extract the files and run Install.cmd. Or, download the single file installer package.
  2. the Java Loader can be used to easily display Device Info, display an event log, take a screenshot, wipe the handheld or reset it to factory conditions
  3. Option 6 will list all the command-line switches for JavaLoader.
  4. This file might be extremely usefull in trying to recover crashed blackberries which aren't recognized anymore by the desktop redirector.

JVM Error 513 mean java virtual machine error ,, 513 mean that it isnt loading.. the blackberry uses java as its operating system.. use the blackberry application to update the phone again this will solve the issue,, if not use restore ,, both options are in the desktop application.. basically just update he phone again :)

You basically have to update the software using Blackberry Desktop Manager. If you didn't back up your settings and contacts, there's a risk you'll lose them.

JVM ERROR 513 BLACKBERRY 8310
JVM 513 indicates all data and application on the device have been deleted. To restore, you need to reinstall the Blackberry handheld software and restore the data from the backup file if you have it on your computer. To reload the software, you will have to connect the device to the computer and run Blackberry desktop manager and then application loader. In case you do not have thse software on your computer, check with your service provider and they will have the software available for free download on their website.
