Rival 38601 Smart Pot 6-Quart Logo
Posted on Jan 12, 2011

My rival oval smart pot has 4 hr, 6 hr, 8, and 10 hr and a warm light. I want to know how I engage the warm light. It seems that soups overcook on low 10 hr if I keep it on 10 hr. I never see the warm light come on. Am I doing something wrong?Once I have cooked the soup I want it to only keep the soup warm and not to further cook the soup only warm it for the remaining time. I have pushed every button and can't get the warm light to light up. I've had this crock pot for sometime and use it often. I've never understood this "warm" feature! Please help!

If I unplug my crock pot, hold the On button down, then plug it back in my "warm" light comes on. Might work for you?

I called the customer service number on the back of my RIVAL Crock Pot Stoneware Slow Cooker and those fools said that there was no way to go directly to warm. This actually did work on mine and I don't have to overcook my stew THANK YOU!!! So much for them having knowledgeable representatives regarding their own product line.
