I have an asus eee pc 900 notebook, my daughter has pushed something & now when turned on displays the windows xp loading screen, then displays a page that explains windows did not start successfully I have tried options on there but as soon as u push enter,, a list scrolls on screen & diplays multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\windows\system32\drivers\ and each line after drivers are different items with sys..... How can I resolve as notbook has no diskdrive??? Thanks

During the boot process you will see on the screen to press a certain key to enter setup
Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS you can load failsafe defaults or load optimized defaults ,press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart then
once you have your computer running try uninstalling a few unnecessary programs then click start run type cmd then type chkdsk/r/f which will scan for and attempt to fix any bad sectors and automatically fix any corrupt files on your hard drive this should schedule when you restart then defragment your hard drive

    Thanks 4 help it come up on screen about reboot ect, but doesn't show a key 2 push? I think daughter has tried 2 fix but made worse, in f2 set up some bits like -ide config ect?? I cannot get into,, once the patition system scrolled it tries 2 go back 2 windows xp loading,

    check the leads that are attached from the motherboard to the hard drive - ide config is the lead/s windows is searching for the hard drive (the operating system)make sure the connection is securely seated or just replace them
