Mini DV Camcorders requires driver from supplied CD to connect it to the Computer. This is the case when you're using XP or previous Operating System.
If you're using a Operating System which is higher than XP like Vista or Windows 7, the usb streaming driver is not available from Sony at this point and may not be available at a later point also..
In that case, you can use either A/V interface or i.LINK interface to transfer videos.
