Mine broke too, fell into mechanism. I disassembled the unit and attempted repair of the the button, I say attempted because I don't know if it'll hold up.
There's a small screw holding the button in place, the plastic is meant to flex when button is pressed but mine snapped off. I super glued the broken pieces back together, this will not be strong enough and is only meant to hold the pieces in place while a stronger repair is attempted. Mix and apply epoxy resin to the entire screw and flex area, apply thin fiberglass cloth and saturate with resin. The piece is small so a toothpick works well. After the epoxy cures, re-drill the screw hole because it was covered with the cloth and epoxy. Reassemble.So far so good.
