Some
keys have a letter of the alphabet next to them. The letters are A,
B,C,D, M, X, Y. They correspond to memory registers (memory locations)
in which you can store values.
To enter a letter as when you are
entering an expression with variables, you press the [ALPHA] key
followed by the key next to which is the letter you seek. To enter
letter A, You press [SHIFT] [(-)] if I am not mistaken.
If you want to solve an equation (solve for X by default) press SHIFT (Solve) not the = sign at the bottom of screen.
